¿Puedo Ir Al Baño?"
This week instead of a story, we've learned a song. Below are your instructions - they include a video game!
1. Become a member of Señor Wooly's website. You can create an account for each child, or to make things simpler, just one account for your family. You'll be a part of my class "Mullisen Spanish." Click here to enter and sign up - you don't have to use your real name - use your Spanish name, or a made up name - and don't use your last name. Also - you don't have to include your email. If you forget your password, I'll be able to reset it at any time, since you'll be part of my class.
You'll need to enter the code enQ2iQv in order to join Mullisen Spanish. Just copy and paste it.
2. Once you're in, navigate to "Music," and click on the text "¿Puedo Ir Al Baño?" You'll see it listed under Album #1. Click on the text, not the picture.
Listen to the song (you might want to get some earphones so your parents aren't driven crazy by you playing the song over and over - unless they want to learn the song too!).
3. Listen to the song a second time, reading the lyrics on the page in both Spanish and English. Download and print out the lyrics by clicking here, if you'd like, but they're already in the packet. Try to sing along as much as you can - this helps your brain remember!
4. Navigate to "Videos," and click on "¿Puedo Ir Al Baño?" Watch the video with English subtitles first, then watch it again with Spanish subtitles. While you watch, do the first page titled "Who says it?" in the review packet.
5. After you watch the video twice (at least), answer all the questions on the second page of the packet titled "Number the following sentences..."
6. Fill in the blanks on the third and fourth pages of the worksheet - listen to the song as many times as you need - but try to fill in the blanks without looking at the list of lyrics to help you. Use your memory of how the song goes to help you remember the answers.
7. Navigate to "Games," and click on "¿Puedo Ir Al Baño?" Play the game on Fácil (Easy). Try to get a score over 50, at least.
8. Read - or sing - the lyrics back in English to your parents.
REMEMBER - MUSIC IS A POWERFUL WAY TO REMEMBER WORDS! I PLAYED THIS SAME SONG FOR MY DAUGHTERS JUST FOR FUN A YEAR AGO, AND THEY STILL REMEMBER A LOT OF THE WORDS... SING THIS SONG AS MUCH AS YOU CAN... IT WILL MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!!
